Iva Kastela is in charge of their main office but beside handling bookings, computers and paperwork she is a passionate paddler. You’d never guess that this lovely and charming girl was a member of Croatia’s World Championships Rafting team on the mighty Zambezi River! She did return home with scratches all over - she couldn`t resist playing with African baby lions all afternoon.

Zlatko Zigman is in charge of their operations and one of the pioneer rafting, canoeing and bicycling guides in Croatia, Not just a trip leader - he knows all about wildlife after his 5-year study of veterine and is an excellent outdoor “chef de cuisine”. He gathered world-wide experience travelling as a sailor on all of the planet’s oceans and continents.

Zeljko Kelemen manages Atlas Adventures and is the founder of Riverfree. Respected by environmentalist and disliked by dam builders, Zeljko - aeronautics engineer with professional pilot's training - preferred a career in outdoor travel to the one of the commercial pilot. After three decades of white water experience he led the Croatian team on two Zambezi expeditions. In spite of all those years many doubt that he grew up yet. He has paddled all the wild rivers of Croatia and collected thousands of photographs.

Hrvoje “Harry” Rados is the lead singer whenever our groups have a good time. Much to disappointment of his mother Harry traded his violin for a paddle and became a whitewater canoeist already in his teens.

Beata Glinska was born in Poland, went to a German school in Nigeria and graduated both law and graphic design studies at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. No wonder she is fluent in Polish, English, German, Spanish, French and Croatian. A successful lawyer and photographer Beata enjoys her weekends and vacation outdoors, guiding rafting and canoeing trips. Young, pretty and all that talent!

Zvonko “Kula” Draksic - a great soccer talent Zvonko finds white water much more exciting and has been addicted to it for over 25 years. His river guests know him as funny, entertaining guide but behind that he is a real professional, always on the alert and capable of predicting trouble. Former whitewater national team member he personally trained many of our younger guides.

Milenko “Mizza” Vrhovac - expert kayaker, sea kayaker, canoeist and rafting guide was one of pioneers of commercial river running in Croatia. His favorite saying: “Water no good for drinking, water no good for washing, water only good for paddling!” No wonder he gets fan mail from his river clients saying: “I love you, you crazy idiot!” Contrary to that outside image “Mizza” is a real professional with a degree in physical education and perfect safety record.

Damir “Bongo” Brusar , a son of professor and passionate wooden canoe builder, became a white water canoeist by family tradition in the 60’s. Former national team member and champion in both slalom and downriver Bongo plays guitar and is a natural born entertainer. In winter Damir teaches skiing in Colorado, and in Summer enjoys sailing when he is not guiding.
