Naturism (Nudism), is the practice of going nude in a communal (non sexual) setting. It is more than a practice, it's a complete movement of wholesomeness and stability of mind and body with complete contact with natural elements like sun and water, as nature intended.

Croatia's Adriatic coast is one of the friendliest, and most popular, naturist destinations in the world offering more than 30 official naturist beaches and many more unofficial nude beaches. It is estimated that over one million naturists visit Croatia each year. Most of them come from Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Hungary.
Croatia was actually the first country in the world to offer nudist holidays. Croatian legend has it that the trend was launched on the island of Rab in 1936 when King Edward VIII and his mistress Wallis Simpson took a nude swim in the Bay of Kandarola.
Naturist beaches in Croatia are marked with signs saying "FKK" for "Freikorperkultur" German for Free Body Culture. Unofficial nude beaches are called free beaches.
