- SEASPLASH REGGAE FESTIVAL
When: Jul 2006 (annual)
Where: Pula, Croatia
Cost: Advance = K80; 3 days K200 - On the day = K100; 3 days K250
What: Three days of non-stop partying with well-known DJs and live bands from Italy, the UK, France, Jamaica and Germany, including an appearance by The Twinkle Brothers. Offers shopping stalls, food & drink and more music.
- PULA FILM FESTIVAL
When: July, 2006
Where: Pula, Croatia.
What: For the duration of the Festival the Vespasius amphitheatre becomes one of the largest cinemas in the world (it has a capacity of 5,000 to 8,000 seats). The film festival has been held since 1954 (first as the Festival of Yugoslavian feature film, then in 1992 as the Festival of Croatian film.) In 2001 the Pula Film Festival took on an international character and became the festival of Croatian and European film.
- HISTRIA FESTIVAL
When: Jul - Aug 2006 (annual)
Where: Pula, Croatia
Cost: Various
What: An international music and drama festival with classical music concerts, soloist concerts, operas, operettas, ballets and drama performances.
Official opening takes place with a concert performance of Slovenia’s Philharmonic Orchestra and Maksim Mrvica. The venues are equally breathtaking, ranging from the old Roman Arena to the picturesque island of Brijuni. Performances usually start 9pm or 9.30pm.
- INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL
When: Nov 2006 (annual)
Where: Pula, Croatia
What: Provides a forum for all forms of contemporary Croatian music. Along with numerous concerts by soloists, ensembles and guest musicians, the festival also features meetings and professional seminars on publishing and copyright issues, and a series of lectures entitled "Meetings of the Mediterranean Composers of New Generation.”
