The airport in Kaštela is the third largest in Croatia in terms of passenger numbers (788,000 in 2004). Flights connect with Zagreb several times a day, and there are services direct to Frankfurt in Germany as well as other European capitals. By Train
Trains run from Split to the north of the country and further on to Europe. There are daily trains services to Zagreb with the journey taking about 6 hours. You also can catch trains to Sibenik and Zadar. This is the only train that runs along Croatia’s coast.
By Car
Split can be reached by the scenic and winding Adriatic Coastal Road or through the hinterland roads. It will take you 5 hours to get to there from Zagreb and 4 hours from Dubrovnik.
